Hi Rabbi Astor,
We love your work (mostly the hidden hand books so far) and wondering if you know of a resource where we can find politics/news/current events through this same Hashem lens. Meaning we know you deal with history, who deals similarly with current? Would be especially helpful if its a resource that’s kid-friendly.
Tysm!

RESPONSE:
Thank you for the kind words about the Hidden Hand books. As it happens, I recently started a weekly column on my website called Behind the Headlines. It takes one story from the news each week and looks at it through a Torah lens. You can find it at https://yaakovastor.com/behind-the-headlines/
It’s written for adults, but the pieces are short, and older kids may enjoy reading them with a parent. If you’d like each new one to come by email, you can sign up at yaakovastor.com/subscribe
Kol tuv,
Yaakov Astor
